Ingredients
- 14oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: press the Tofu
Wrap the tofu block in several layers of paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Place it on a plate and put something heavy on top, like a cookbook. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to press out excess water.
step 2: Prepare Vegetables and Sauce
While the tofu is pressing, chop your broccoli florets, carrots, and bell pepper.in a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Step 3: Stir Fry!
Heat the olive oil in your large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 4: Add Vegetables
Add the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper to the pan. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Step 5: Toss with Sauce
